COWI Belgium

COWI Belgium is located in Brussels, the heart of Europe and the EU Institutions, and has until now functioned as Project  Management Office for the Beneficiary Framework Contract  for the European Commission in Brussels and the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg.

Today, the company is the centre of expertise for the management of European Commission Framework Contracts attempting to lead the Lots where it is a major player. The office counts 12 permanent employees mainly qualified as Transport & Environment Engineers and Economists among others.

COWI Belgium key areas of expertise are:

Ex-ante, mid term and ex-post evaluation of EU programmes and projects

Evaluation of effectiveness, impacts, sustainability, and coherence of EU programmes and regulatory measures applying EU evaluation guidelines; cost-benefit assessment related to externalisation of EU tasks and programmes.

Transport infrastructure feasibility studies and technical assistance

Traffic studies and transport master plans, economic feasibility studies, technical assistance to EU aid beneficiaries in project preparation, review and monitoring

Environmental Protection

Assessment of environmentally related economic risks and liabilities in connection with planned investment/divestment - Environmental Due Diligence (EDD); environmental impact assessment (EIA)
